Broadcast Ban Enforced
Following the attack, the Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK) announced a broadcast ban, warning media outlets against disseminating unconfirmed information or images that could fuel terrorist propaganda. RTÜK Chairman Ebubekir Şahin stated that severe penalties would be imposed on those who do not comply with the restrictions.
President Erdoğan's Condemnation
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan also condemned the attack, expressing his sorrow during his participation at the BRICS Summit. He conveyed his condolences and emphasized the importance of continuing the fight against terrorism. Erdoğan also mentioned ongoing efforts to strengthen Turkey’s relationship with Russia and address payment issues between the two nations.
