The Rights Protection Initiative, a coalition of organizations advocating for the rights of Turkish Cypriots, is organizing an action in Metehan on Monday, calling for public support. The initiative has already raised awareness on the global stage by holding press conferences and meetings in cities such as London, Brussels, and Strasbourg. Key participants in these efforts include representatives from the Cyprus Turkish Building Contractors Association, Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Industry, Cyprus Turkish Hoteliers Association, Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Commerce, Cyprus Turkish Bar Association, and Cyprus Turkish Realtors Association.
The action, scheduled for 11:00 AM on Monday, will feature a public statement in front of Metehan, which will be delivered in Turkish, English, and Greek. This statement will also be forwarded to both the United Nations and the European Union, reinforcing the initiative's message.
The statement is expected to highlight several key issues, including the resolution of the property issue through the Immovable Property Commission and the negative impact of the Greek Cypriot side's economic actions on reconciliation efforts. The Rights Protection Initiative will also emphasize that any attempt to undermine the existence of Turkish Cypriots will be met with strong resistance.
Support for the initiative has been growing, with new organizations joining the cause and public announcements urging participation in Monday's action.
We are here to assist you.
