Traffic Inspections Lead to 362 Drivers Reported and 30 Vehicles Banned from Traffic

During traffic inspections conducted across the country yesterday, traffic teams checked 1,958 vehicle drivers, resulting in 362 drivers being reported for various traffic offences, while 30 vehicles were banned from the roads.
According to a statement from the Police Press Release, the breakdown of traffic offences includes:
- 186 drivers caught speeding over the legal limit
- 20 drivers using a mobile phone while driving
- 20 drivers operating a vehicle without a licence
- 9 drivers found driving under the influence of alcohol
- 6 drivers not obeying traffic lights
- 5 drivers not wearing a seat belt
- 3 drivers operating without insurance
- 1 driver riding without a helmet
- 1 driver without a driving licence
- 111 other various traffic offences
The inspections reflect the ongoing efforts to ensure road safety and compliance with traffic regulations.
