Simultaneous public order and traffic inspections were conducted last night by the Lefkoşa, Gazimağusa, Girne, Güzelyurt, and İskele Police Departments. These operations resulted in the arrest of several individuals and penalties for various offenses.
Key Outcomes of the Inspections:
- 5 individuals were arrested for staying in the country without valid residence permits.
- 68 people who were banned from entering casinos were penalized.
- A total of 1,587 people were fined for traffic offenses.
- 213 vehicles were banned from traffic.
- 4 vehicle drivers were arrested for other offenses.

Nicosia (Lefkoşa):
- 4 people were arrested for lacking residence permits.
- 11 people were penalized for entering casinos despite being banned.
- 2,270 vehicle drivers were inspected, with 568 penalized for traffic violations.
- 60 vehicles were banned from traffic.
Famagusta (Gazimağusa):
- Inspections at entertainment venues and public places revealed no violations.
- 12 casino-goers were penalized for violating entry bans.
- 1,109 vehicle drivers were inspected, 353 were penalized, 49 vehicles were banned, and 1 driver was arrested.
Kyrenia (Girne):
- No issues were detected in public venues or entertainment establishments.
- 23 casino-goers were found in violation of entry bans.
- 1,968 vehicle drivers were inspected, with 245 penalized and 24 vehicles banned from traffic. Two drivers were arrested.
Güzelyurt:
- No violations were found in public venues.
- Out of 590 inspected vehicles, 81 drivers were penalized for traffic offenses, 10 vehicles were banned, and 1 driver was arrested.
İskele:
- 1 person was arrested for staying in the country illegally.
- 22 people were penalized for entering casinos while banned.
- 1,700 vehicle drivers were checked, with 340 penalized for traffic offenses, and 62 vehicles were banned.
These comprehensive inspections were part of ongoing efforts to maintain public order and ensure road safety across Northern Cyprus.
