Prime Minister Ünal Üstel has been re-elected as the chairman of the National Unity Party (UBP) during the party's 23rd Ordinary General Assembly. In a statement following his re-election, Üstel emphasized that the UBP emerged as the clear winner of the assembly, which was marked by record participation.
Üstel expressed gratitude to the party members who supported him, stating that the results were clear, with 65.8% of the votes in his favor. He added, “The winner of this congress is UBP. There are no losers in this congress. Yesterday is yesterday, and now is the time to build the future together, arm in arm, shoulder to shoulder.”
Despite challenging weather conditions during the congress, more than 10,000 votes were cast, the highest participation in the party's history. Üstel highlighted that the members' votes showed strong support for continued stability in power, with the goal of remaining in office until 2027.
He expressed his gratitude to all who contributed to making the congress a success, including his fellow candidates, party members, government partners, and guests from Turkey and Azerbaijan.
Üstel concluded his statement by calling for unity and emphasizing the importance of continuing the work ahead: "Now is the time for unity. Now is the time to serve. Continue in power, continue with stability."
