Alpet Cyprus Cleans Up Mediterranean Beach with Volunteers from SPOT Marine Life

    The Alpet Cyprus family dedicated their weekend to cleaning a beach on the Mediterranean coast, as part of their commitment to social responsibility. Teaming up with volunteers from SPOT Marine Life (Northern Cyprus Turtle Protection Association), 27 volunteers from both organizations collected 332 kilos of plastic and metal waste throughout the day.

    Alpet Cyprus General Manager, Tevfik Türkoğlu, attended the event and highlighted its purpose: to raise awareness about environmental cleanliness and address the ongoing beach and sea pollution in Northern Cyprus, which is recognized as a tourism hub. Türkoğlu expressed hope that Alpet Cyprus' participation in such initiatives would inspire other corporate companies to engage in similar social responsibility efforts.

    Sofu Altınbaş, Chairman of Altınbaş Holding Board, reiterated the company's dedication to social responsibility projects and emphasized their goal of enhancing the beauty of the island's seas. He stated, "With this project, we aim to prevent beach and sea pollution, inform the public, and raise awareness on this critical issue. We thank everyone who shares this responsibility with us."

    Representing SPOT Marine Life, Uzay Büyükalsancak also made a statement before the event, calling for public support in keeping beaches clean and committing to continued efforts for a cleaner and more beautiful Cyprus.
