The 2025 Illegal Terrorist Organizations Decree, issued by the Council of Ministers under Article 63 of Chapter 154 of the Penal Code, has officially come into force following its publication in the Official Gazette today.
The decree prohibits carrying flags, symbols, and images associated with organizations designated as terrorist groups in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC). This includes banned organizations and their derivatives, as well as pictures of their leaders and members.
The decree identifies a range of groups as illegal terrorist organizations, including but not limited to:

???? Hizb-ut Tahrir, DHKP-C, TKP/ML, TİKKO, MLKP, MKP, Internationalist Freedom Battalion
