Kyrenia police have uncovered counterfeit US dollars and euros circulating in a local casino, leading to the arrest of one suspect. According to a statement from the Police Press Office, the incident took place at around 02:00 today when a casino customer, identified as SG (E-45), attempted to use fake currency.

SG handed over two 100-dollar banknotes, with serial numbers KE64187210B and KE29533189B, suspected to be counterfeit, to the cashier. Upon further investigation, authorities discovered an additional 15 counterfeit 50-euro banknotes in the suspect’s possession, totaling 750 euros. The fake banknotes have been confiscated as evidence.

The suspect was immediately taken into custody as police continue their investigation into the case. Authorities have released the serial numbers of the counterfeit euro banknotes to assist businesses and the public in identifying fake currency.
