Famagusta Municipality Begins Water Infrastructure Projects at Two Key Locations

    Famagusta Municipality has announced the commencement of water infrastructure works at two separate locations. The projects aim to enhance the city’s drinking water network, benefiting both residential and commercial areas.


    Project Details

    Bilal Ağa Mosque in Closed Maraş

    • Scope: Construction of a 350-meter long, 63 mm wide drinking water network.
    • Location: Vahit Güneri Street, next to Dr. Fazıl Küçük Industrial Vocational High School.
    • Timeline: Work began on Thursday and is expected to be completed by the second week of January 2025.

    Güvercinlik Road (Nicosia Main Road to Old Nicosia Road)

    • Scope: Installation of a 1.2 km long, 110 mm diameter drinking water network.
    • Location: From Güvercinlik Junction to the “Tenten” Junction on the Old Nicosia Main Road.
    • Timeline: Work started today and is scheduled for completion by the end of January 2025.
    • Benefit: The new infrastructure will supply water to workplaces along the route.
